Now

What I'm focused on right now.

What I'm working on

  • LoL Draft Helper — Building a team composition analysis tool for League of Legends. It profiles your draft across multiple dimensions — CC, tankiness, damage, damage type, utility — compares it against winning compositions at your elo, and suggests picks that fill the gaps. I've been pulling thousands of ranked matches from the Riot API and using real game data to score champions instead of manual labels. Currently working through the problem of position-aware scoring and champion archetypes within roles. There's a writeup on the design here
  • Job search — Actively looking for Software Engineering and ML/AI roles where I can build things that matter
  • SortaLogic — Writing, building, and thinking in public. This site is the foundation for everything else
  • An agency project (unnamed) — Designing an application that helps people take back control over their lives and become dangerously efficient. Still early — planning to build the MVP once the draft helper reaches a stable state

What I'm reading

  • Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus — Ludwig Wittgenstein

What I'm watching

  • No Other Choice (film)
  • The Art of Sarah (TV) — Fresh, layered, and a lot to uncover beneath the surface

What I'm thinking about

  • The draft helper keeps surfacing the same design question I care about: how do you help someone make better decisions without making the decision for them? Every role in League has multiple valid archetypes, and hard-coding "what a support should do" breaks when Brand support is just as viable as Leona. The data has to tell you what works, not your assumptions
  • How to build a platform that gives people real efficiency over their own lives — not productivity theater, but genuine agency over what they do, when, and why
  • A philosophy I try to carry into everything I build, and into how I move through life: I want people's lives to be better after they've interacted with me or my work — not the other way around
