What is SortaLogic

SortaLogic is where I collect my work, my writing, and my ideas — all centered around one question: how do we build technology that actually makes the world better?

A little about me

I'm Logan Park. I have a Master's in Computer Science specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, a Bachelor's in Computer Science, and a Minor in Philosophy. That combination isn't accidental — it's the foundation of how I think about building things.

Why philosophy matters in AI

In my view, philosophy is lagging behind in the world of Machine Learning and AI. We're building increasingly powerful systems, but the deeper questions — what should we build, who does it serve, what does it cost us — aren't keeping pace.

I want to build systems and tools that help humanity become more conscious, more intentional, and that return human agency and dignity to the center of the conversation. With AI and robotics on track to replace much of the repetitive work in our world, the harder question becomes: which problems actually matter, and how do we solve them without losing sight of the people they're meant to serve? Through SortaLogic, I aim to come closer to answering these questions.

What to expect

  • Projects — Real things I'm building: software, tools, businesses, and products
  • Writing — Essays on technology, philosophy, and the intersection of both
  • Reviews — Thoughts on media that shapes how I think
  • Journal — Reflections on the process, the work, and the journey

This is the starting line. More to come.
